Sustainability
Often people tell us they are skeptical that a company based in Nepal can be the real deal. Here's what we can tell you:
- We're profitable every year since inception in 2001, and don't need a whole lot of profit to keep everything going.
- We don't have any debt and have more than 90% of our paid up capital in cash.
- Current staff:
- 4 expatriates,
- 10 Nepalis
- In 2011 we will open an office in New Zealand, giving us support response 20 hours per day.
- More than all of the above: we're committed. We'll do whatever it takes to make sure we serve our clients as long as they need us. We can't do more than that.
Things we do
- mSupply- but you wouldn't have got to here without knowing that, we hope.
- We used to undertake custom software development, but we've got so busy with mSupply and Moneyworks we feel we owe it to our clients to make this our priority, so are not looking for custom development work at this time (written April 2009, still true Sept 2010)
- We distribute "Moneyworks":http://moneyworks.sussol.net accounting software in Nepal. Moneyworks is a superb product, and we are proud to have been involved in producing a version that is localized for Nepal.
- Moneyworks is extremely flexible, and we have clients in Thailand, Ghana, USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and Nigeria* who have found it an ideal solution for their accounting needs
(* The Nigerians we work with are fantastic people: they're running pharmaceutcial distribution organisation, not schemes that give you millions for nothing- pity!)
About Us
Sustainable Solutions (the Company behind mSupply) is dedicated to putting people first.
Of course we try to create excellent software, but our focus is on our clients, our staff, the people at the “bottom of the heap” that our clients are trying to serve.
We have over 13 years experience of working in developing countries, so we understand that staff motivation and appropriate technology are critical factors in providing solutions that meet our clients needs in the real world.
We are motivated by our faith to put the interests of others first. Our staff are a mixture of faiths, and we try hard to treat them all fairly.
