I have different kinds of inventory adjustments: how do I distinguish between them(Sept 19, 2007)

You can set up a custom set of categories to be used for inventory adjustments. 

This is done from the Special menu > Show transaction categories.

Users typically set up inventory adjustment categories like this:

  • expired items
  • stock take adjustments
  • damaged items.

You can then use an in-built mSupply report:

  • Choose Report > Transactions
  • Choose the report Totals for each item grouped by Transaction category.
  • Choose "invetnory adjustments- add stock" and run the report, then run again for "inventory adjustments- reduce stock"
